About My Clients
Do you feel stuck in your life, but uncertain of how to change? Are you engaging in behaviors that sometimes you don't even understand? Do you feel disconnected from your body? Some of these experiences could be related to trauma; together you and I will explore and identify the varying causes of these feelings and change your thinking patterns. In trauma therapy, we understand that the memories from your past can be triggered by the present--memories don't exist on their own.
My Background and Approach
I utilize EMDR, CBT, and Somatic and Mindfulness interventions to help support you in healing and reprocessing your trauma memories. I have worked extensively with victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence since 2018. I also work closely with clients who are experiencing anxiety and depression as a consequence of traumatic events, such as car accidents, sudden loss, or life transitions. By exploring your trauma, it is possible to experience relief and peace from disturbing memories. With the tools we cultivate and develop in session, you will be able to establish safety and calm within your body-mind. The positive impact of therapy is expected to ripple throughout your life. I am honored that your journey has brought you here. Healing is possible. You are not alone.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that you are the expert in your own experience. This is the foundation from which we will build our work together. Survivors of trauma, Otherization, and marginalization often find themselves doubting/questioning their own experiences, perceptions, and thoughts--that will not happen in this space. I see you. I believe you. I'm with you.
