About My Clients
My clients are soulful individuals and couples who are serious about healing the root causes of pain and conflict. This journey means connecting with the deep wisdom of your psyche and becoming more courageous, vulnerable, empathic, and accountable in all areas of your life. Many of my clients describe themselves as people for whom talk therapy "hit a wall" and who are looking for a therapist who can help integrate the spiritual process of "waking up" with the emotional process of "growing up."
My Background and Approach
Our work together integrates evidence-based somatic (body awareness), relational (you and I connecting deeply), and imaginal (IFS parts work, dream analysis, re-enactments, archetypal themes) methods that address the whole (whole-istic/holistic) you—mind, body, creative spirit, and emotions. Expect me to be curious, warm, and non-judgmental, and to actively participate in your journey. My practice is always centered on what YOU would like to explore and work on, and the methods that resonate with you. Me doing my job well looks like my clients building a foundation of self-understanding and compassion while blossoming into the most authentic, courageous, and vital versions of themselves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Many therapists view patterns of anxiety, depression, creative blocks, resentments, shame, grandiosity, contempt, rage, distraction, and addiction as adversaries to be silenced or vanquished. In contrast, I follow non-pathologizing therapists Gabor Mate and Richard Schwartz in understanding these challenging parts of ourselves as understandable and sympathetic adaptations to physical and emotional threats and harm that happened to us in our pasts. I believe that the way to connect more deeply with ourselves and one another is through staying relational, open, and curious even, and especially when it is most uncomfortable. To answer the prompt for this section, "What do you stand for?" I stand for relationality.
