About My Clients
I treat ages 15 years old and up including couples. I am proficient in cultures, religions, and sexual preferences, gender, and identities. I have 5 years experience. You have the ability pay cash, enjoy on-line evening and weekend appointments. I work with client's thoughts and feelings that create behaviors they can identify they want to change. Diagnosis can help understand the condition of mental health issues. Treatment is dependent on what you want to change.
My Background and Approach
I currently hold a license in LMHCA testing February 2023 to be fully licensed. I have completed a Play Therapy Certificate offered by Antioch University in 2017. Received 32 hour training in DBT in 2020 and have facilitated DBT groups. Developed curriculum to facilitate a Grief and Loss Groups. Received training from the University of Washington in CBT-P to treat clients with Schizophrenia and other psychosis diagnoses. Have experience working with ITA patients in a hospital setting and testifying in court. My experience working with clients who have experienced trauma is extensive. Using the brain-body connection to educate clients on how the nervous system informs the brain to protect the body. Educating clients how trauma triggers stored in the body cause trauma triggers to react. I work with the client in therapy to identify where the body is storing the trauma. What triggers might the client look for and how to regulate self once triggers begin to respond differently.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Our history helps us understand our beliefs sometimes through the lens of trauma. Learning how our thoughts and feelings affect us, helps us to understand our behaviors. To create healthy relationships we can exam the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that affect others. Sometimes we need to learn healthy boundaries and forgiveness to be our whole selves.
