About My Clients
Anxiety, depression, and stress can create real barriers in your life, despite your efforts to keep pushing through. When it all becomes too overwhelming, you might feel down, anxious, or even like you're going crazy. You're not alone- we all need support sometimes in life, and therapy is a brave step to seek that support. Whether what you're experiencing is something you've lived with for awhile, or the result of some major changes in your life, I want you to know that change is possible!
My Background and Approach
I have over 6 years of experience in social services and counseling in Washington state. I am skilled in providing support around anxiety and depression, as well as major life changes. With my background providing mental health support to older adults and their families, I'm well equipped to support those experiencing grief/loss, serious illness, or caregiver stress. I have both professional and lived experiencing working with Neurodivergence, including ADHD/Autism in adults. I often use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as Mindfulness and Solution Focused Therapy to serve my clients. My background in multiple different settings and techniques lets me specifically tailor our time together to meet your needs and goals in therapy. We'll do our work together through both conversation, discussion of practical skills, and exercises to engage your body. My hope is that you can use these tools to manage difficult experiences in life with greater ease.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe it is possible to live a life full of meaningful moments and experiences, in spite of suffering and significant challenges. It takes a lot of courage to seek support for your mental health, and you deserve compassion and understanding. I view each individual holistically, through all your lived experiences and successes as well as your current challenges. While I bring some expertise as a therapist, YOU are the expert on your own needs and priorities. I believe in empowering each person I work with to identify their strengths and work with them to create meaning and joy, while also managing the harder parts of life.
