If you are struggling with your emotional or mental health, or if you are concerned with the mental health of your child, I am here for you. My treatment plans are designed with you and your family in mind, because there is no "one size fits all" in therapy. You deserve to get better in a way that works for you, so don't hesitate to reach out.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in single parenting, relationship counseling, and play therapy for children. I work with individuals to realize goals that will support healthy behavioral patterns, and I work with family systems to promote interconnectedness. I offer a variety of tools that will support you to develop effective emotional regulation tools, communication skills, and to help you to recognize your inner strengths. Every person is unique, and therefore therapy should be as well. We can explore what is going on in YOUR life right now so you can build resiliency in the face of challenges. I continue to attend trainings and to enhance my skills so that I can give you the very best opportunities for healing and growth. My goal for you is that you leave our sessions feeling more confident in your ability to handle anything in life that comes your way!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of healthy relationships. Without them, we can't thrive as individuals. I work with clients to strengthen the relationships they have - with themselves and with others - in order to create an environment that will allow them to grow. My path has been shaped by my experience as a single parent raising two children, who are now young adults. I saw how hard it was to create a life of balance, when there was so much noise in the world around us all the time. And I saw how many of the people around me were struggling in similar ways, whether it was balancing their work and home lives, navigating their relationship with parents or siblings, or dealing with illness or death. I have always been interested in how people use communication to make sense of themselves and the world around them, and my curiosity about this is what led me to become a therapist.
