About My Clients
My specialty is supporting clients who are engaged in social change efforts—activism, organizing, advocacy, disobedience—and face all of the stress, overwhelm, existential questions, fatigue, and grief that comes with that. I also support clients who have experienced high control systems and environments—abusive households, controlling religions, incarceration—and face all the trauma, fear, and identity questions that come with being coerced and threatened. My Background and Approach
I have a six years of prior experience as a conflict facilitator for social change organizations, where I supported people through relational and systemic conflicts under stress. I also worked in public health, first training physicians in LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and later piloting a non-police crisis response program. I began practicing therapy at a nonprofit serving housing insecure and unhoused individuals. In my current practice, I use trauma-centered modalities that focus on what has happened, emotions, and relationships, in social context. I support people in coming into contact with difficult emotions, sensations, and experiences and help them communicate with the people they care about to build stronger connections. These modalities can relieve self-criticism, shame, guilt, perfectionism, obsessive thoughts, anxiety, and feelings of disconnection or burn out.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a queer woman who has been a part of liberation-centered organizing, particularly for abolition and transformative justice, for nearly two decades. I prioritize self-determination, interdependence, disability justice, and economic justice in my practice. I believe in the movements for land back and a free Palestine.
