My Background and Approach
When working with me, we talk about your goals and I ask you questions to get an idea of who you are and where you want to be. I've worked with trauma and anxiety for 13+ years and I know how difficult it can be to share painful memories. I offer a judgement free space where we work at your pace. Creating a safe space is an essential part of our sessions and I'll help you navigate this journey. My approach is a balance between empathetic listening and providing action steps you can take outside of the session to see quicker results. I've worked in inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings, which allowed me to see a range of symptom severity. For 8 years, I worked at the leading behavioral health hospital, Rogers Behavioral Health in Wisconsin, which provided extensive use and additional training in multiple evidence-based techniques.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm passionate about elevating women despite the barriers they face, i.e. societal barriers, gender norms, and sexism. It's hard to be a woman in the workplace and at home without equality, safe spaces, and confident and resilient minds. It gives me great joy to celebrate with clients who challenge barriers to personal and professional development. I can't wait to celebrate along with you!
