You might not feel like yourself right now because of stress, pain/injury, or questioning who you are. You may feel stuck without effective ways to work through what's happening. Together, we can explore what feels off and come up with solutions to make you feel more confident and secure.
My Background and Approach
When you come into the office, you'll be in a space that respects your individual identities and needs. Our work will center emotion and thought processing and exploration while making new connections about yourself. My goal is that you gain a sense of control around your life and relief from ineffective thought and behavior patterns. You'll also practice experiencing emotions in a safe way that will strengthen your relationship with your mind and body. We'll collaborate to individualize tools we use to fit your life circumstances and needs so that lasting change can occur.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the messages we learn through our familial, social, and cultural environments have a deep impact on the way we experience the world. For example, you might think your injury recovery doesn't depend on your mental health, or that being queer is a flaw. I prioritize understanding those messages and working on changing the ones that are not serving you. Learning my clients' stories is a privilege that I don't take lightly, so I work to understand and address biases I hold based on my identities. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and empowering space that allows my clients to feel liberated in their existence.
