I integrate several approaches from acceptance and commitment, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, and existential theories. With a strong grounding in multicultural and systems-based counseling, I prioritize clients' lived experience. During sessions, I focus on creating a comfortable space for processing painful emotions and offering accessible tools that increase wellbeing. I make it a priority to stay current on evidence based research and use this to personalize the treatment I offer. In the past, I have thoroughly enjoyed working in both inpatient and outpatient clinics, as well as community based mental health settings.
I became a therapist because I believe that by healing ourselves, we heal the world around us. I know that each day, we are all just doing our best and using strategies we've learned in the past. It is possible to build a life worth living and plan steps to achieve a greater sense of freedom and ease. I believe in the inclusion and celebration of all people regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or national origin. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to learn more about me or my practice.
