About My Clients
I have sound experience providing therapy to individuals struggling with anxiety, panic, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship difficulty. I also greatly enjoy helping people working in highly creative, corporate, or high-tempo work environments that are struggling with self-esteem, work performance issues or work/life balance.
My Background and Approach
I have a strong background in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), having facilitated DBT groups and individuals in an intensive outpatient setting for several years. I also have experience and extensive study on how somatic-based interventions can be pivotal in one's healing process. I approach therapy through a relational, person-centered platform, often exploring attachment patterns, systems, and strengths-based perspectives to bring clarity to problems and solutions. I provide a safe space for processing your emotions with supportive reflection, and utilize body-based techniques, mindfulness, and cognitive exercises to help generate change. Whatever life challenges you are facing, I can help you identify the root causes, define barriers and goals, and provide a compassionate space with a road map for your growth journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I like to ask myself this question, "what is this person trying to tell me right now?". I believe we are all trying to communicate something to one another, whether it is a need, a want, a feeling, or maybe just to connect. Taking the time to understand our own language and what it is trying to communicate is a profound step towards growth and change.
