About My Clients
I am experienced with helping individuals who are in a place where they are confronted with discomfort and the need to change, as well as group therapy, and couples counseling. I have worked with clients extensively on grounding and other emotional regulation techniques and bring the ability to help individuals find a sense of safety and stability from which they can begin to explore individual and relational issues.
My Background and Approach
I offer a warm, compassionate, non-judgmental space where we will work through your issues, hurts and stressors to connect you with your most authentic and truest self. There is power in the therapeutic alliance, and I help people who are at a point in their lives where their relationships, functioning, daily life, and goals are not working or where people feel like they have unmet needs or parts of their past that are keeping them from living the life they want to live. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and I can help you find constructive ways of thinking and processing while honoring your feelings and experiences. We will explore evidence-based therapeutic approaches and develop treatment goals that are important and relevant for you in a safe, non-judgmental environment that fosters healing and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have helped clients develop insight into their feelings and patterns of behavior and help clients develop new coping strategies whether they are seeking to navigate personal growth and change or looking to increase their capacity to manage a chronic mental illness. I have been in the mental health field for 10 years and graduated from George Mason University with my Master’s in Social Work in 2015. My background includes working with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, substance abuse, and other mental health concerns in both outpatient and residential settings. Life is busy, demanding and complicated and I am here to help you build the tools to live it fully.
