About My Clients
Parenting is difficult and ever-changing. If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, burnt out, or a loss of sense of self, please know you are not alone. Whether you're a new mom experiencing sadness and hopelessness, a parent to young children feeling over-stimulated, or a parent to a child that is experiencing combative and troubling behaviors, I can help you get a handle on all of it.
My Background and Approach
Together we can work on gaining a better understanding of yourself and your children. I can teach you skills to manage your stress, anxiety, and most importantly find yourself again, feeling strong and empowered. I have an extensive background in working with families and children, specializing in anxiety, depression, stress management, social pressures, peer conflict, and interpersonal skill building. With my experience and training working with children and parents, I can help your family become more peaceful and harmonious.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My therapeutic approach is very client centered. I believe everyone's experiences and struggles are unique. Therefore, therapeutic care should be tailored to fit the needs of each individual. Some of my areas of training are in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Furthermore, I incorporate Christian Counseling in my work. With my training and experience, I am able to integrate various psychological approaches, along with the Christian faith perspective to guide you. No matter where you are on your walk with the Lord, I meet you where you are and where you're comfortable beginning, while also being sensitive to a differing worldview than my own.
