About My Clients

If you struggle with issues related to your sexual health, self-doubt, overthinking, being overly self-critical, or people-pleasing, then we might be a good fit! Whether you’re wanting to embrace your authentic self more fully, enhance your intimate connections, explore new ways to affirm and care for your queer/trans-ness, heal internalized trans/homophobia, or simply just want to be “seen” in your identities by a therapist, I’m here for you.

My Background and Approach

I’m a pleasure-centered and strengths-focused therapist who is passionate about helping queer and trans folks unlearn values of cisgender/heteronormative culture, discover repressed desires, and embrace self-kindness. My warm approach emphasizes the pursuit of pleasure, self-compassion, and is rooted in mindfulness. I provide holistic treatment, where all aspects of your identities are valued and considered integral to our work together. I prioritize open communication and view therapy as a collaborative endeavor. In therapy, we might focus on topics such as discovering your identities, relieving minority stress, or fostering resilience. I tailor treatment to meet your individualized needs and hope by the end of our work together, you will develop pride in your most authentic self and confidently move through anxieties. I truly view it as an honor that my clients trust me as an ally and advocate in their personal journeys.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I’m affirming of all relationship structures (e.g. polyamorous, ethically non-monogamous, monogamous, etc.) and am a kink-aware clinician. I am pro-kink, pro-hoe, and pro-sex-work. Basically, I’m pro-anything-safer-sex-that-you-enthusiastically-consent-to. I firmly believe in the invaluable contributions of queer and trans folks to our society and demonstrate unconditional positive regard in serving this community. My dedication to the queer and trans communities goes beyond simply saying that I’ve made a “safe space” for you. I actively stay informed about ongoing issues impacting these communities. I acknowledge that the mental health field has a long history of oppressing the queer and trans community. I’m committed to decolonizing therapy practices and strive to minimize power dynamics by recognizing you the expert, rather than assuming that role myself. I remain mindful of my own limitations and consistently work to confront my personal biases and assumptions.
