About My Clients
Are you struggling with feelings of shame that always seem to creep up on you? Are you feeling invalidated and that no one gets you? Do you feel like the person you are on the inside is not the person that everybody sees on the outside and that you are constantly having to hide your true self? I get those feelings. I've been there. I consider myself a wounded healer because I have struggled with these same issues too. You can overcome these issues. I can help guide you down a new path.
My Background and Approach
There are ways out of feeling invalidated and ashamed. I will create a safe, positive, and uplifting space for you to be your authentic self without judgement. You and I will collaborate on how to navigate a life that you envision for your authentic self. If there is anything that may be too unpleasant to talk about, we won't. I will follow your lead and recognize you as the expert in your life, because you are. I can handle anything you tell me. I have specialized training in LGBT Affirmative therapy. You will find that there are ways to unchain yourself from the oppressive restraints that may be confining you. I can help you with that. I am willing to dig deep with you to uncover the roots of what may be ailing you. Uncovering these roots can be an empowering experience. Big changes may be just around the corner for you as well. If so, I can help you plant new roots and help you grow into a brand new you. If you need an objective point of view, I can provide that.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life is a journey. Change in anyone's life is fluid, and I believe that potential exists at any age. And of course, we have many different identities that intersect that make us unique and special. When we are invalidated and marginalized by a dominant society that refuses to recognize us for being unique and for having a different point of view, then this can be traumatic, especially when we are younger and barely learning how to navigate the complicated world around us. But no one has to feel alone. As I stated earlier, I identify as a wounded healer. There have been dark moments in my life too. But I found a way out with the help of others. I can help you too. If you want to learn more about how I can help you navigate your own journey, please reach out.
