About My Clients
Do you ever feel like you don't have a clue about how to parent your child? So many caregivers feel like they're parenting without a roadmap and feel alone, ashamed, and unsure of how to ask for help--for you and your child. Raising tiny (and not so tiny) humans is hard work. I see children 0-12 years old & their families, both in-person at my office or via telehealth. I believe in working together as we address a number of concerns, from anxiety, depression, & anger to behavioral concerns.
My Background and Approach
I believe that behavior is the language of children, so I help children and their caregivers explore the causes of their concerns while providing support and solutions that help relieve stress for everyone. I have extensive training in the Developmental Repair model and use Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Attachment Therapy. I love to find ways to help families connect and understand each other better using play, especially through games. I strive to provide a gender-affirming, sex-positive, inclusive space for children & their caregivers.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we have an ethical and moral mandate to advocate for equity, which I do both professionally and personally. I actively attempt to look at situations with a systemic lens. I am an advocate for education & educational support for all children & their families. I am constantly seeking to be more aware and inclusive. I believe in cultural humility and will always be working to understand my various privileges, especially within therapy.
