I view the experience of being a person as holistic, focusing on the connections between the self, others, and the world at large. We human beings heal through connection with others and flourish when we feel empowered to be active in the meaning making we do throughout our lives. I believe that therapy is not a space to learn to conform to societal expectations, but rather to uncover how these expectations can become internalized and cause us deep distress.
I am a white, cisgender, queer woman. My clinical practice is influenced by these identities as well as my love of storytelling, symbolism, music, comedy, and folklore.
