About My Clients
There are so many reasons that someone walks into my office (or connects with me virtually)- and every single one is valid and important. If you are struggling to process a past or recent trauma, finding yourself in a battle with your internal critic, or struggling to be your most authentic self due to fear or shame, you have come to the right place.
My Background and Approach
While the therapy approaches I use are based in research, your specific needs come first. I don't believe in cookie-cutter plans or reliance on worksheets. I use a variety of approaches but primarily utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), IFS-informed parts work, and mindfulness-based exercises. One of the most beautiful things about therapy is the partnership between the therapist and the client. We will work together to filter through what is on the surface and address the root of what is causing your pain, discomfort, or stress.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, mom to three littles, and partner to a woman whom I am proud to call my wife. I strongly believe that all people, regardless of race, age, body size, religious beliefs, or ability deserve dignity and respect. I operate from a HAES and body liberation mindset and strive for intersectionality in my participation in and allyship with marginalized communities.
