My Background and Approach
I offer individualized services which promote better balance in everyday life. We will work on skills that help you emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially while also learning to have a better relationship with yourself. We will also use mindfulness-based practices and expressive arts to aid in therapy. My hopes are for you to feel heard, understood, heal, and build skills that promote wellness. I have specialized training in Integrative Medicine and Nutrition for Mental Health, PTSD, and Complex Trauma which help provide various tools across many areas of life you can use. I am able to offer culturally sensitive therapy specifically for people of Latinx and Indigenous backgrounds because I personally understand the cultures. As a Christian, I understand faith can be an integral part of healing and identity so I provide an open forum for people to bring their faith, whatever it may be into the counseling session.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that humans have an exponential ability to grow, hope, and love. Growth can uncomfortable and hard. At times we may even experience growing pains. However, sometimes the only options we have is to grow or to stay stuck. There's nothing like the rewarding feeling of being on the other side of your growth, where the pain and discomfort are minimal, or maybe non-existent for the time being. What gets you through the difficulty of growth? Love is powerful, it's the little light that shines through even in the darkest of moments. Loving others can be the reason to begin your journey towards growth and healing. Self-love can give you the strength to keep going. If you struggle with loving yourself, let me tell you. It is possible to learn to love yourself. Hope is the glue that holds everything together. It's the light of love searching for a better way. Through my own personal journey of healing mind, body, and spirit, I have found hope, love, and growth. I believe you can too.
