About My Clients
I work with individuals that may be struggling with anxiety, depression, & stress. Anxiety can be all-encompassing and easily take over your life. You can learn to better manage it and develop helpful tools. I'm also passionate about supporting moms through the postpartum time and throughout their parenting. Motherhood can feel overwhelming at times and it's so easy to lose track of yourself. Therapy can help you explore your feelings and get back in touch with who you are & who you want to be.
My Background and Approach
My therapy services help you feel happier and more confident in your life, your parenting, and your relationships by giving you the support you need and guidance to overcome feelings of inadequacy, anxiety, and negative thinking patterns. I'm very active in my therapy and view my role as like a coach to help guide you to the life you want. I approach therapy by looking at each person as part of a larger family system. The way we each grow up influences our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors throughout our life. Some of these influences are positive and others can cause us difficulties and get in the way of the person we want to be and the relationships we want to have. I utilize a combination of CBT (Cognitive-Behavior-Therapy), Psychoeducation, and Mindfulness practices within my therapy in order to help my clients obtain knowledge and develop skills to assist them in difficult times.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone has an important story to tell and that they have a unique experience and perspective that deserves to be heard and respected. I offer an inclusive and safe space for everyone, including Black, Indigenous and People of Color, those in the LGBTQ+ community, and all other marginalized groups. We are all equal and deserve to be treated as so. Everyone deserves to be seen, heard and understood.
