My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In order to love others for who they are, you must first love yourself for who you are. I believe we spend so much time focused on what we aren’t, that we lose sight of all of the wonderful things that make us uniquely us. Values, beliefs, sexuality, gender identity, born gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, culture, and experiences shape how we see and feel about ourselves positively and negatively often because of what a majority society, culture or family says is good or valued. Mental and physical health are interwoven with sexual and spiritual health. I believe that therapy is an opportunity to look at everything we know and believe to explore and sometimes challenge whether or not it supports what we need for our mental, physical, social, sexual and spiritual well-being. Lastly, I believe everyone should have access to quality mental (and physical) healthcare and offer a sliding scale rate for individuals ready to start working on their mental health.
