I have close to a decade of experience in the mental health field, and have worked with folks in every stage of the recovery journey. I currently hold an LMHCA license in the state of Washington, as well as I am a Board Certified Music Therapist, and so I like to bring the creative arts in as much as possible.
I would describe my approach as primarily existential and humanistic. I believe there is a lot to be said for feeling connected with our sense of meaning and purpose in our life, and that we are free to uncover and develop our own meaning. Along with that, I see one of the purposes of therapy as a space to explore one's sense of meaning, and to discover more about ourselves as we grow. I also tend to be less structured and more non-directive. You are the expert in your life. I'm not going to tell you what to do, but I will walk with you while we discover it together.
