About My Clients
We all sometimes struggle with stressors in life. They can be big or small, but at the end of the day we benefit from getting some help. My goal is to provide a safe supportive environment where you can learn to challenge your negative thoughts and become more confident and secure in you life. Together we can confront issues that impact your daily life, from anxiety and depression to issues related to sexuality and identity.
My Background and Approach
I use a combination of CBT, motivational interviewing and positive psychology. There is a lot of negativity and stigma in the world, especially around sex and mental health. I want to help to change that one person at a time. I have worked in Community Mental Health for several years, prior to that I have experience in several other areas of mental health. I received 2 Masters Degrees from Widener University, a Masters of Social Work and a Masters of Education with a focus on Sex and Relationship Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my view therapy is a collaborative effort where we work together as a team to address your needs and build up skills to help in the future. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
