I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner licensed in Nebraska and have 12 years of experience as a therapist.
Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Omaha, NE
I work with clients on identifying the dynamics in their family of origin and how those dynamics affect their adult life. Being part of the family system, we develop certain roles and expectations within the family, which can impact our mental health. Understanding our family system can help us take steps towards improving ourselves and our mental health.
I help clients identify and process their negative thought patterns and learn the skills necessary to change those thought patterns. I work with clients on identifying the maladaptive behaviors they have learned throughout life and making conscious efforts to improve those behaviors to better their life through the implementation of appropriate coping skills.

I assist clients with their personal growth through different transitions in life, including life after loss, becoming an adult, moving to new locations, and other significant life transitions. I help clients improve upon their self-esteem and develop self-empowerment and strength to make changes in their life that may be difficult.
I help clients address their symptoms of anxiety, whether it affects their social interactions, ability to function at home and work, causes difficulty sleeping, or affects their relationships. Like all mental health concerns, anxiety affects each individual differently and it is important to determine and address it's affect on the individual in order to work on improving functioning and developing coping mechanisms.
I work with clients on understanding their ADHD diagnosis, assist them in identifying how it affects their day-to-day life and relationships, and help them implement coping mechanisms to address their ADHD difficulties. I address self-regulation, executive functioning skills, and Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria, and help my clients improve those skills, through my work with clients struggling with ADHD.
