I have over 5 years of therapeutic work under my belt, four years of teaching experience, and have recently become certified as an End-of-Life Doula. I am finishing my clinical Master’s in Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University and am expecting to graduate this May 2023.
I come from an eclectic experiential and therapeutic background, having held positions as a language and special education teacher, intensive in-home behavior therapy clinician, and was a provider for trauma-informed therapeutic foster care case management. I offer a safe space, using a strength-based and person-centered approach focusing on communication, boundary creation, and self-reflection. I am trained in play therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, am LGBTQIA+ allied, and use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to address issues that range from anxiety, to depression, to compulsions, and beyond.
