I am taking in-person Art Therapy clients in Washington starting October 2022. I am taking telehealth clients in WA and MD currently.
Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Tacoma, WA
My personal and professional experiences with polyamorous relationships have led me to specialize in working with others within the community. I'd love to support you on your journey and help you navigate concerns about your poly relationships.
I have both personal and professional experience with the kink community and I really love working with people within the kink and BDSM world. My particular specialties within this community are focused on D/s relationship dynamics.
I am a part of the queer community and many of my clients are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, giving me a specialty in working with them. I'd love to help support you with any issues that arise in your life regarding being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
I am Level 1 trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and integrate this into my Person-Centered, Strengths-Based approach to all my treatment. I believe there is a strong connection between the mind and body and that sometimes mental health issues can store themselves in the physical body.
I use Person-Centered therapy as my foundation as I believe you are the expert of your life and I am here to be your support. I'll help you iron out the wrinkles so that you can better able to understand yourself and meet your goals of therapy.
I am trained in Art Therapy and I am a Board-Certified, Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC). I love to integrate art into therapy sessions if a client is interested, although it is not always necessary to use art. Art can be a strong communication tool to help you understand yourself in a way that verbal language might fail. There are also many talented art therapists in my practice who are available to take new clients. I will be taking in-person Art Therapy clients in Oct 2022.
I am Level 1 trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and regularly integrate the body/mind approach into my therapeutic practice. This helps us to navigate a holistic treatment approach, inclusive of your physical sensations, your cognitions, and your emotional self.
I am trained in EMDR and regularly use these techniques in my practice. EMDR is absolutely effective in a telehealth setting and I've seen great progress with clients while using this treatment for trauma, negative self-talk, looping thoughts, and childhood abuse. I offer extended and intensive sessions for EMDR if you are interested in processing a deep issue and need more time for this work.
My background is focused in attachment based therapy. I approach client trauma from an attachment lens and help clients work through childhood traumas, family of origin trauma and discord, and relationship dynamic concerns.
