About My Clients
Eating disorders are multi-faceted illnesses and our approach takes in proven modalities and turns them into concrete therapies, goals, expressive arts, and interventions in order for the client to feel hopeful, empowered and in charge of the journey. We have a wide variety of specialties including neurodivergence, perinatal mood disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, and complex family dynamics. We are LGBTQ+ affirming, HAES aligned, and neurodivergent affirming.
My Background and Approach
Our team has a variety of expertises driven by their own healing journeys and passions for aiding clients to find the freedom to live authentically. All of our therapists are LGBTS+ affirming, HAES aligned, and social justice oriented. Rachel Coleman, LMFT, CEDS has specialities in personality disorders, Perinatal Mood Disorders, and Intuitive Eating and uses humor and straight forward rapport in her therapy. Stacie Fanelli, LCSW incorporates social justice, anti-diet, and Health at Every Size® frameworks into her work and works with the intersection between eating disorders and neurodivergences. Meg McGuire, AMFT uses exposure outings, recovery coaching techniques, and family systems therapy to aid clients and families in practical healing. Ashlee Williams, APCC supports clients from a trauma based approach to heal generational trauma, abuse, and eating disorders.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We offer multiple therapy modalities through traditional talk therapy, creative and expressive therapies, and collaborative nutrition counseling with Registered Dietitians contracted with our practice or in the local community in order to give each client the personalized care they deserve in their healing process. Our team has a variety of expertises driven by their own healing journeys and passions for aiding clients to find the freedom to rise up from the internal pain that has kept them from being able to embrace their true selves for way too long. We provide therapy from a social justice orientation because we believe that it is important to understand how our identities, the environments we grew up in and currently exist in, and the cultural messages from our families, and society at large, impact us. We adamantly defy diet culture messaging and celebrate all bodies and abilities. We believe that therapy can lead to a beautiful metamorphosis so clients can live authentically!
