About My Clients
I consider it an honor to work with individuals who have experienced a traumatic event or complex childhood trauma, need tools for managing depression or anxiety, or have recently experienced a significant life change such as life altering diagnosis, break up or divorce. I thrive working with adults of all ages from diverse racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Bachelor's of Science from IU, complemented by graduate studies in Public Management and a MSW. This educational path, paired with 20 years of experience working with children, individuals and families, has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the human psyche, allowing me to tailor my therapeutic approach to suit each individual's needs. I have a holistic approach. Our body, mind and emotions are not separate rather they are integrated. So I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Somatic Interventions, which are evidence-based interventions. Somatic Interventions assist in connecting how we feel in our body with our emotions and patterns of thinking. However, therapy isn't a one size fits all. We will work together to find an individualized approach for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Hoosier born and raised but with a diverse twist. I am bi-racial and adopted at birth into an interracial family. My father is from South Asia. My mother is American. I grew up in a home where diversity was celebrated. I deeply value the diverse experiences we all bring. As a mother of three, spanning a wide age range, I understand the complexities and challenges of parenting and family life. My personal experiences enrich my insight, enabling me to connect with clients at various life stages. Faith plays a significant role in my life. My faith teaches me to love, not judge. I am LGBTQ+ affirming. I will honor your faith tradition and incorporate faith only at your request.
