Anxiety can be crippling and exhausting as various thoughts and situations can send your mind spiraling into so many different directions. I have experience working with many clients who experience anxiety and can provide coping skills to assist with regaining a sense of control and ease.
It can be extremely hard to see a way through the dark cloud that is depression. I provide a variety of coping strategies to help create a path through that feeling of darkness and hopelessness. Being able to identify the pattern of self-defeating thoughts is one of the many ways that I can assist you with feeling better.
As am immigrant myself, I understand some of the challenges, pressures, complexities that fellow immigrants and/or first and second-generation individuals experience. Adjusting to a whole new culture and way of life, or trying to navigate biculturalism can be difficult and take a toll on your emotional, mental, and physical health. I can assist with processing the many feelings and emotions that come with the process of immigration and acculturation; and identifying ways to cope.

I would be doing anyone I work with a disservice by not taking cultural factors into perspective. I approach each individual and session with cultural humility.
Understanding how what we think, affects how we feel and act is an important part of tackling self-defeating thoughts that can fuel symptoms of depression, anxiety, etc. I have extensive experiencing using CBT strategies to empower individuals in learning how to cope and feel better.
