In our work together, we will collaborate in exploring beliefs and patterns of behavior you may have taken on a long time ago and the ways they show up in your life today. As a somatic therapist, I will listen to the cues of your nervous system and will support you in developing skills and having tools to help you reclaim calm, confidence, and strength.
The main models I use are: Somatic Experiencing - a somatic trauma resolution approach; Internal Family Systems (IFS) - working with inner parts toward harmonizing the mind; and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) - a relational model of psychotherapy. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), IFS Level 2-trained, and a Level 1 AEDP therapist. I have completed additional trainings in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), Coherence Therapy and Focusing. In addition to my graduate degree in Counseling, I hold a Master's Degree in Positive Psychology and work from a strengths-based orientation.
