About My Clients
We can't always control how we feel or what happens in life, but we can control how we respond to it. Whether you're struggling with mental health concerns and symptoms that effect your daily functioning such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, ADHD, trauma, relationship distress, family conflict, self esteem, LGBTQ+, and/or sexually related issues.. or a mixture of all of the above, I'm here to help. I strive to provide an environment that is non-judgmental, laid back, safe, and comforting.
My Background and Approach
As a dually licensed professional in Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Mental Health, my approach to therapy is eclectic - I integrate multiple different frameworks in order to best suit your unique needs. I am currently obtaining specialized training to become certified in sex therapy in order to better assist clients struggling with sexual issues. I have also completed training and working towards my certification in EMDR therapy. My specialty areas include treating relationship issues, individual + couple sexual/sexuality related issues, and general mental health issues in individuals 15 and up. I'm happy to shatter all the negative stigmas you may have about therapy! We all deserve to be happy and be the best version of ourselves, and there's no shame in seeking guidance to do so.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy is one piece of the puzzle in accessing the best version of yourself. I believe in providing a safe and non-judgmental space for you (maybe sprinkle in some humor/laughter), and help guide you through the current life and relational stressors that may be barriers to your true happiness and authentic self. I hope to help you heal and create a healthy balance within your life, whatever that may look like for you. I am a proud supporter of women's rights, LGBTQI+ communities, BLM movement, and those in non traditional relationships (poly, kink, etc.) My personal interests and hobbies include: traveling, working out, cooking, trying new foods/restaurants, spending time with my obnoxious and large puppy, buying too many houseplants, and in true ADHD fashion, often starting/reading 5 different books at once.
