Having worked in the addiction field with dysfunctional family systems for the last eight years, I have developed a special interest and effectiveness in helping people with codependency concerns. The typical codependent relationship includes someone who rescues and someone who needs rescuing. I am passionate about helping people find their authentic individual identity, set healthy boundaries, become more assertive, and lead more fulfilling and happier lives.
High levels of anxiety cause people to approach the world from a place of fear and worry. This often leads them to over-plan, become rigid, avoid, or try to control the uncontrollable. Going through life this way can be exhausting and can inadvertently push others away in the process. Therapy can support you become more flexible in your approach to life, let go of rigid patterns, and find more balance. I am proficient at helping people with social anxiety, perfectionism, & anticipatory anxiety.

CBT is one of the most effective forms of therapy. I think it is important to analyze our thoughts and feelings in order to identify and challenge cognitive distortions and unhelpful patterns that can be getting in the way of growth, fulfillment, and enjoyment of relationships.
The majority of my clinician background has been in the field of addiction/compulsive behaviors, with a special focus on digital media overuse/addiction for the last three years. This includes various online behaviors like gaming, porn, social media, shopping, and information/entertainment addiction. I have also been fortunate to speak at a number of conferences and schools as an expert in the digital media overuse field, in addition to teaching other therapists how to work with this concern.
