About My Clients
You're an artist, a storyteller, a lover of tales and a dreamer of dreams. Your passions help define you. But you're also the hero of your own story who struggles to find the narrative, or is afraid of where the next act should take you. Whether you're battling interpersonal or inner conflicts, anxiety, depression, or just feeling stuck or in doubt, you deserve a space to examine your frustrations, rekindle your passions, embrace or uncover your strengths, and claim your story as your own.
My Background and Approach
I'm a strong believer in holding space for individuals wherever they are on their journey towards empowerment. Working on you or your relationships isn't always easy, but it doesn't have to feel like work. I love using humor, storytelling, and embracing the things you're passionate about to reflect on your personal strengths and challenges. While doing so, we'll strive to identify what's serving you and what's creating obstacles, both self-made, and those shaped by external expectations. Everyone's journey looks different, and everyone's therapy needs are different. We'll discuss up front how to best utilize our time together and how to comfortably and confidently take the first steps toward acheiving your individual goals for therapy and beyond.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I love the arts and storytelling, and have spent many years in the arts and various geek communities. This part of me often finds its way into the work I do, and the rapport I build with others. I believe that we all carry trauma and pain that is uniquely ours, but we can combat that trauma by bravely facing and addressing it, while simultaneously celebrating our uniqueness, our passions, and our sense of identity. This kind of personal empowerment ripples outward. Because of this, I strongly believe in striving for individual and social justice while celebrating diversity and sex positivity; doing so not only begets the best version of ourselves and our relationships, but aids in strengthening our communities as well. I welcome older adolescents and adults of all ages, expressions, and orientations, as well as individuals within relationship dynamics of all kinds.
