Many people can feel they have become “stuck” at a certain point in their life, such as a challenging life adjustment, communication difficulties in a relationship, or getting caught up in negative thoughts and behaviors. Navigating adolescence and young adulthood is a particularly challenging time and I thoroughly enjoy working with individuals and couples to overcome any barriers so they may thrive as the person(s) they wish to be.
My Background and Approach
My goal in therapy is to establish a safe and supportive environment to freely express your inner thoughts and concerns, while providing resources and a platform for you to advocate for yourself. We will work together as a team to establish goals and to help you overcome life’s demands, difficulties and barriers. By considering all aspects of life, I gain a better understanding of you as an individual in order to take a more holistic approach to care. Culture identity, values, past experiences, and social/family constructs are all taken into consideration. I use an integrative approach tailored to your needs, often using methods such as CBT, ACT, and mindfulness. Whether working with adults, adolescents or couples, I hope to empower you to understand your emotional intelligence and self-concept. I'll support you as you navigate social interactions, behaviors and thought patterns with the hope of cultivating meaningful change in personal understanding and perspective.
