About My Clients

I help clients experience a deeper connection with themselves and with the people in their lives. I create a safe space for people to be honest, kinder, and more compassionate with themselves, to help them articulate and better define their internal worlds and have their unmet needs spoken aloud. We breathe better, work better, love better, and connect better when we feel seen and heard.

My Background and Approach

I have training in evidence-based treatment models such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT). I also have received additional training in Emotion-Focused Therapy and work from an attachment-based lens. Essentially, I pay attention to core attachments in our lives and how they impact connections or disconnections now. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger management, codependency, self-esteem issues, grief, life transitions, and conflict in couples and families. I am relational, transparent, and deeply invested in the work I do. I will roll up my sleeves and dive into the murky and gritty work with you. I believe you are valuable and worthy of belonging. I believe vulnerability is worth fighting for, and I believe in empowering your autonomy. My role is to help you learn about yourself, gain insight into your unhealed and unintegrated pain, and centering yourself in your healing.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In my own work, I have recognized how I, as a marginalized person still hold certain privileges, and can still oppress groups of people. It is my duty and my work to unlearn racism, sexism, and ableism that have been modeled for me. It is also my duty to use my privilege and give opportunities and hold space for those who don’t hold the same privileges. My goal is not to perpetuate performative allyship, but instead to honor sustainable long-term allyship for black and brown folx, people in the LGBTQ+ community, women, and folx of every size.
