About My Clients
I love working with biracial and multi-ethnic folk, and all those whose marginalized identities cause struggles with inclusion, belonging and safety. I also specialize in working with sexual assault survivors and those recovering from trauma of all kinds (including attachment/developmental trauma). I also work with couples, helping them understand their relationship dynamics and find accountability, easier communication, healing and more love.
My Background and Approach
Relational. Somatic. Trauma Informed. Social Justice Oriented. Building trust and safety between us is imperative as we deepen into the material you need help with. Together, you and I learn how your body experiences your life – how your sensations and emotions are translated into your thoughts, your beliefs and your behavior. Also, how your trauma is showing up in your body and guiding certain thoughts, feelings and behaviors. From there we can start to map and untangle the patterns that no longer serve you, and integrate the trauma that's maybe been wreaking havoc on your life. Our bodies, identities and personalities are undeniably influenced by the cultural contexts we’ve come up in. Our plethora of different identities are often a complex intersection of privilege and oppression, and impact our experiences of inclusion and belonging. I consistently have an eye on power dynamics (both inner and outer), and how they impact your mental health.
