About My Clients
Our relationships with ourselves can be complicated. Together, let’s better understand how your life circumstances have gotten you to where you are today. What is working for you? What is not working for you? How is your relationship with yourself affecting your relationships with others?
My Background and Approach
I naturally feel empathetic towards others. I am fascinated by people, what they have been through and the resiliency that they have developed as a result. I relate the strengths that I see in my clients to my clients, helping build up their self-esteem and confidence. One of the most gratifying aspects about therapy is helping people identify what they like about themselves and observing their self-confidence blossom. I am good at making clients feel comfortable, especially those who have never been to therapy before. My attitude and perspective remain nonjudgmental and supportive. I bring humor into my sessions in an effort to help clients relax. In my practice, I pull from psychodynamic, relational and strengths-based ideologies. I do my best to be approachable, compassionate and thoughtful in my work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My interest in therapy began in my freshman year of college, when I sought out services at my college’s counseling center. The support that I have experienced in that therapeutic relationship has been invaluable to my growth and emotional maturity. I hope to be able to provide that for my clients. I believe everyone deserves to have access to quality mental health care.
