With the pressures and expectations placed on men to always be strong and not show emotions, it becomes difficult to connect with true feelings in difficult circumstances. I enjoy working with men of all ages to help them work through the thoughts they have about manhood and reconcile it with their reality. In short, helping them to realize that it is okay not to be okay.
We all know that life has it's ups and downs, but sometimes those downs seem impossible to come out from. Through my experience working with individuals dealing with life's stressors in an inpatient psychiatric facility, I have learned to utilize various treatment modalities to not only help with working through the issue at hand, but making sure you are equipped with tools necessary to face those and other challenges in the future.
If you have been a teen you know those are some of the most difficult years in one's life. I have had years of experience working in community based, inpatient, and group home settings with young men and women that are dealing with the challenges of being a teen in today's world. Whether it be dealing with depression, parental divorce, self esteem, social isolation, or a host of other concerns as a teen I would love to work with you to help you reach your full potential.
