If you're looking for something different or just looking for a change. Welcome. I work with kids/teens, but also adults. If you're struggling with depression, anxiety/panic attacks, grief/loss, concentration/focus challenges or symptoms similar. I can assist. I'm looking for someone who is motivated for change. My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Therapist. I have a Master's Degree in Psychology with emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy since 07'. I'm a Certified Child Mental Health Specialist & certified/trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Plus through Harborview. CBT+ is used for kids/teens/families. (Other modalities I use are listed below) For over 18 years now, I have been lucky to work for great non-profits. Recently I entered the private practice area of service. During therapy, I teach you how to use interventions such as cognitive re-framing to change your thoughts from unhelpful to helpful. Furthermore, I offer unconditional positive regard so that you can process and not feel judged. If you're having nightmares, we can explore dream interpretation. If you've experienced trauma, we can process this together to leave your past behind you and focus on the present . I have other interventions we can explore as well! I hope to speak to you soon. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone is capable of change. I know this world can be better, we all can be. Everyone benefits from a therapist. Even therapists. There is no shame in seeking out someone to assist you. I entered this field to help make the world better then how I entered it, one person at a time. I've been so blessed/lucky to be in the field of helping people for over 18 years. Self love & self care is very important. The way we speak to ourselves matters. How we care for ourselves matters, especially in such uncertain and stressful times. We all have an ability to be resilient despite what our negative core belief system wants us to think. I believe we all have resiliency skills within us and therapy can help you strengthen those & bring those to the forefront of your coping skills. I personally think hobbies are great! I work with clients in exploring these. I myself love camping, cooking, stay-cations, getting outdoors and trying new foods. I also love to do art and be creative!
