About My Clients
Have you hit a wall? Do you feel like everything you have tried isn't working? Sometimes we get so overwhelmed by our situation that it's hard to fathom any solution. My role is to be the neutral party that can objectively look at your struggle and help you develop the tools you need to reach a resolution. My ideal clients reflect on our discussions between sessions, engage in behavior change, have a sense of humor, and are willing to do the work.
My Background and Approach
I have over 14 years of experience as a therapist and enjoy watching people grow to their full potential. I am not a therapist that just listens and nods. I believe that if you come to me for my experience and expertise, I will share that with you. Our sessions will be conversational, with direct feedback on what I observe and suggestions on how to make changes. Whether that's a reframing of the thought or behavior modification, we will work together to find the tools that will work for you. My approach is secular based and I specialize in working with those who struggle with trauma, relationships, life transitions, gender identity, and sexual exploration. In Relationship work, I help clients navigate boundaries, communication, and trauma. I work with monogamous, ethical non-monogamy, poly, open, and kink relationships. I am licensed in the states of Kentucky, Ohio, Massachusetts, Georgia, and North Carolina.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I don't believe there is one right way to live. We are all unique individuals and I believe in owning our flair and never apologizing for being ourselves. I was raised in a secular Jewish home, so I have a unique understanding of being raised by Jewish parents. I am an active supporter of Planned Parenthood, I love a good Drag show, and last I counted I had over 30 plants in my office. I have been a volunteer with Pug Rescue for over 14 years. I also advocate for the adoption of special needs shelter pets and currently have a 16-year-old paralyzed pug.
