About My Clients
I enjoy working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, identity exploration, dissociation, DID, and spiritual abuse. I specialize in LGBTQIA+ therapy, especially with lesser-known identities such as asexual, aromantic, and nonbinary identities. I have experience supporting clients all throughout the lifespan, and am happy to welcome teens and adults of all kinds to my in-person or virtual office.
My Background and Approach
My approach is goal-oriented, trauma-informed, solution-focused, collaborative, and client-centered, and I incorporate CBT, DBT, mindfulness, activities, and art. I obtained my M.S. in Counseling with a focus in LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Therapy from Southern Methodist University. I am certified in Trauma Model Therapy, a National Certified Counselor, and my trainings include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Suicide Prevention, and CPR/CPI. I’ve conducted online trainings and presented at professional conferences on Balancing Wellness and Gender-Affirming Care 101. I’m a member of the Texas Counseling Association and an Approved LGBTIA+ HealthCare Provider.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm biromantic, asexual, and a cisgender woman. In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my cat, writing creatively, sewing, and spending time with my family.
