About My Clients

Do you feel like you swing between feeling intense emotions to feeling nothing at all? Do you struggle to see the positive things in life and feel disconnected from yourself and others? Do you have trouble feeling safe and relaxed, even when you are alone? Maybe you have tried different things to try to settle your body and mind, but nothing seems to bring you into balance. CHANGE IS POSSIBLE! My work supports highly sensitive young people who experienced trauma to get control of their emotions.

My Background and Approach

If you chose to work with me, we would work collaboratively in weekly therapy sessions to build self-awareness by exploring stories and patterns in your life that are blocking you from living the life you want. These stories can come from our personal experiences and the messages we get from society about who we are supposed to be based on our gender, race, sexuality, ability level, and socioeconomic status. While I trust that you are the expert of your life, I am real with my clients around what I see coming up in terms of patterns and observations of what is happening in their lives and in our sessions to help to see where you get in your own way. I also incorporate mindfulness and somatic practices in my work, so we may slow down the process and tap into emotions and bodily sensations arising in the moment. Some of my clients also love to incorporate mindful movement and breathwork into our sessions. I love to laugh with my clients and find joy within the process of healing.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am psychotherapist, yoga therapist, social justice activist, and facilitator committed to supporting people who are impacted by personal, systemic, and vicarious trauma to re-embody and reconnect. As a cisgendered white woman I am actively engaged in decolonizing my mind, my communities, and society in order to work towards create an anti-racist society. My own journey of raising my consciousness of the impacts of white supremacy on my own life and the lives of others has led to me into political organizing and integrating healing into those spaces, as well as bringing the process of decolonization into my work with clients to support us all in connecting deeper to ourselves, each other, and the earth that supports us.
