About My Clients

Are you feeling anxious, sad, and/or disconnected from others? Are you wanting more intimacy in your life? Maybe it is your past experiences that are preventing you from fully living the life you desire. Know that self-care is about taking your power back. My priority is to create an open, curious, and safe yet challenging environment to facilitate self-exploration at any phase in life.

My Background and Approach

I am a Certified Grief Informed Professional (CGP) as well as a Child Mental Health Specialist (CMHS). My therapy is collaborative in nature. My work is built on the foundation of using a systemic lens and strengths-based perspective. I believe that therapy involves the presence of your entire being (mind/body/spirit). And that ultimately, human connection is one of the most important healing tools. Thus, I create a safe therapeutic environment where growth and discovery can flourish. I bring my full self to my work – my optimism, my directness, my persistence, my humor. I strongly believe that your family of origin influence the dynamics in your relationships and your patterns of behavior. Using this systemic lens, we'll explore your issues from the perspective of attachment and emotional bonds created in your family of origin and how this shows up today.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

You are the expert of your life. I believe that healing occurs when one feels heard, validated, and given new tools and perspectives. I am passionate about social justice issues. I continually seek to understand how the confluence of privilege (race, ableism, age, heteronormativity, class) and the effect of hyper-capitalism impact our mental health and humanity. For LGBTQ+ and BIPOC (black, indigenous, people of color) communities, I look to create a dialogue to address and expose how mental health by these systemic inequities and the trauma of oppression.
