About My Clients
Are you tired of being tired and ready for something to shift in your life? Have you been feeling stuck and unable to move forward? I have some experience of what that can be like and I know there are ways to improve life. I love to work with clients who are searching and stumbling, but ever-dedicated to moving into a fulfilling life. Reach out and let's see if it's a good fit.
My Background and Approach
My approach is gentle, integrative, relational, and client-driven. Working with me can look different, depending on your needs and what you want to get out of therapy. I consider you the expert on yourself and your process. What I bring is an intention to help you connect consciously to what is happening unconsciously for you. Typically, I offer an invitation to slow things down. Life and all the things happening in the world move so fast. If you have anxiety, trauma, or are simply overwhelmed, the things we talk about in therapy are just as important as how we talk about them. So, at the beginning of your session, we will usually check in. How can you take care of yourself in this moment? What can be learned from your experience right now?Often, the present moment will take you back to formative feelings and the beliefs that came from them. Then, we can work with these beliefs to see what is serving and what needs shifting so you can live your most fulfilling life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I truly believe in your ability to know yourself, to feel connected to yourself, to connect with others, and to live a fulfilling life. This is a process I’ve been deeply involved in as an individual, friend, family member, and growing professional over many years. My philosophy is that the more we can grow the ability to hold ourselves in love and compassion, the more we can grow into our most beautifully authentic expression of ourselves. While holding ourselves with compassion, we are able to look at our experiences and ourselves in an expansive way. This can open our world to more possibility and allow us to see ourselves as we truly are. The challenges and difficulties we have faced may reveal hidden powers and abilities laying dormant within us that we have yet to fully harness. In this process, we have an opportunity to own what is ours—the identities, histories, abilities, and strengths— that make us who we are.
