About My Clients
In my office, my number one goal is for all to feel welcome and to find an unbiased empathetic clinician. I have experience working with families, children, teens, and adults who are going through life transitions, have suffered from a trauma, are struggling with addiction, or just need a little assistance staying on-top of their mental health.
My Background and Approach
I assist my clients in identifying and making sense of their trauma and life challenges. Together, we will identify, target, and treat upsetting memories, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that often are a result of traumatic or unpleasant life experiences. Utilizing research-based approaches including EMDR, TF-CBT, CBT, and DBT, I help children, adolescents, and adults address issues such as PTSD, addiction, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I begin by getting to know you and your goals, we then work on developing coping skills to address current challenges and help you feel more stable. EMDR process is intended to bring balance to your system. Traumatic memories can become "stuck" in the brain, causing emotional and psychological difficulties. EMDR is designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. Once you are ready, we move into addressing trauma and deeper issues at a pace that feels right for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I will be your biggest cheer leader and celebrate in those mini wins along the way - like saying "no" without guilt, setting a boundary with a family member, or just having a better week. I will be right here, with no judgement or pressure, supporting your growth at your pace.
