About My Clients

You are always trying to make others happy & feel bad with every mistake. You are tired of your thoughts saying you are not enough, don’t bother trying. You feel distant from people in your life. You are ready for everyday to not to be a struggle; to be free from what weighs you down, free from guilt, & free to like yourself. You want relationships to feel steady and trustworthy. You’ve been putting it off because therapy seems scary, but you are ready to open up with someone that gets you.

My Background and Approach

I graduated from Clemson University in 2014 with a bachelors Microbiology. After working with teens & adolescence for several years I earned my Masters of Education/Education Specialist degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clemson. I have clinical experience working with adolescents, college students, and adults. I have successfully worked with people who struggle with self-esteem, depression, self-harming behaviors, anxiety, anger, identity development, relationship dynamics, religious trauma, and sexuality/gender. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. My training includes CBT, family systems, Applied Suicide Intervention training , & Adlerian therapy principles which holistically works with family, social, psychological, biological, & emotional needs. I believe in a safe & nonjudgmental space to allow people the opportunity to grow & shape their lives in creative ways. I am passionate about helping people accept their authentic selves & find healthy connection.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Like many who grow up in the south, I have had a fraught relationship with religion. I also know that healing, peace, and wholeness are possible. I believe in helping people deconstruct their faith to keep the parts that are helpful and compassionate to themselves & others or change or leave their religion of origin. Whether religion has created complicated issues with your body, your sexuality, your gender or gender roles, your relationships, your sense of self, or your worth. Its ok to leave behind that which causes pain and suffering and keep that which gives love and acceptance.
