About My Clients
Do you find it hard to express your feelings to others? Are your anxious thoughts getting in the way of your ability to relax and enjoy life? Are you critical of yourself or your body? You don't have to face these difficult feelings and experiences alone. There is hope for finding a sense of relief, and awakening to a life that you genuinely want to thrive in.
My Background and Approach
I strongly believe in the healing power of art. It allows us to connect with our inner selves through symbols, shapes, and colors, unlocking insights that might be hidden from our conscious awareness. I’m particularly drawn to the meaning of symbols and the stories they can reveal about us. Integrating mindfulness exercises, breathing techniques, and meditation into sessions is also part of my practice. I find these tools can be helpful in enhancing self-awareness and can be utilized as lasting coping skills. I often work with clients on feeling more like your authentic self, increasing your self-esteem, improving communication and boundaries, developing self-compassion, and learning to trust your own judgment and decisions. Overall as your therapist I hope to share new perspectives and ways of seeing, while creating a safe space where you can show up as your most authentic self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I grew up in an Orthodox Jewish home, and know what it is like to feel like you don’t fit in with the community you were raised in. Experiences of shame, denial, and repression are all common for those who are figuring out their gender identity or sexuality amidst a religious background. I am here to help you navigate and integrate your unique identities that create the whole of you who you are. I am committed to learning more about the backgrounds and communities that I am not a part of.
