About My Clients
My clients are a diverse group of people representing all genders, sexual orientations and many races. I have advanced training in treating ADHD, trauma, anxiety and LGBTQ related issues and much of my work centers on helping people increase their daily focus, attention and motivation and rediscover meaning and purpose in their lives. I also treat issues ranging from depression and self-esteem to navigating grief and loss, relationship conflict and career challenges/transitions.
My Background and Approach
As a therapist, I am direct yet empathic and nonjudgmental. I am also supportive and I will encourage you to stretch your mind, take risks and grow. My therapeutic values are rooted in compassion, non-judgment, humor, insight and client empowerment, with particular interest in looking at how the systems in which we live affect us. I use a collaborative and relational framework when working with clients while integrating Attachment Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive & Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Existential Therapy and current research in neuroscience and mindfulness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy can help us see the unconscious patterns of behavior we unknowingly live our lives within. It is also where we can explore our hidden selves and learn how to examine what it means to be both vulnerable and strong. You may be seeking therapy for emotional healing, relationship challenges or contemplating a significant life change. Whatever your reason, I intend to provide a judgment-free therapeutic relationship that is trusting and supportive. My goal as a therapist is to help the people I work with ignite healing transformations through insight, awareness, self-discovery, self-compassion and cognitive skill building.
