About My Clients

I work with all kinds of people! I have specialized training and experience with treating youth in psychiatric emergency/ crisis stabilization who are struggling with suicidal thoughts and self harm. I've also worked many years with LGBTQ folx, Survivors of Trauma (Domestic Violence and child abuse), male and masculine identified survivors of sexual trauma, addicts in recovery, and Veterans & their families. I specialize in treating Trauma, PTSD, Complex Trauma, Depression, & Anxiety.

My Background and Approach

My innovative approach works to heal Trauma by enhancing traditional Talk Therapy with an expanded toolbox of techniques. I offer clients individualized treatment options that may include Somatic (Body-based therapies), Expressive Arts (Art Therapy, Dance Movement Therapy, Drama Therapy), and Equine Assisted Therapies (work with therapy horses). I specialize in PTSD and my training is rooted in Neuroscience, Psychobiology, and the use of Creativity in psychotherapy. My Holistic approach aims to create new pathways towards healing the mind, body, and soul. I am Person-centered and believe in empowering each person's innate capacity to heal.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

The Creative Spirit has always thrived fierce and free within the hearts of the LGBTQ-GNC community! I am passionate about empowering LGBTQ-GNC folx, & Creatives to connect with the healing power of Expressive Arts therapies through individual, and group therapy. I believe in the profound healing power of Dance Movement Therapy. DMT explores the link between embodiment, consciousness, and healing; a particularly beneficial treatment modality for Trauma Survivors whose bodies have faced betrayal and crave a return to safety, regulation, and self-love. Dance it out! I am also dedicated to fostering safe spaces for male-identified survivors of childhood sexual abuse and sexual assault to experience solidarity, compassion, safety & healing. Men often fear stigmatization and are reluctant to talk about past abuse experiences and sexual trauma with healthcare providers and supports, leaving them isolated and alone to carry the burden of what happened to them.
