This therapy includes states of awareness and consciousness beyond normal waking consciousness and factors influencing our lives beyond personal identity.
This stems from a mind-body-soul approach, where everything matters and the approaches are holistic in that everything is considered. I am trained and received my Masters in Integral Counseling Psychology. This includes somatic work, depth psychology, an emphasis on relationship and behavior, and as well as working with meaning and transpersonal themes, an awareness and importance on environmental, systemic factors, and incorporating current neuropsychological understandings.
ADHD and other neurodivergent or highly sensitive traits can be difficult to cope with or manage in a fast paced society. Some experts think it stems in trauma, some don't believe it exists. I think it is a case by case situation, and a spectrum. I work with you to identify and work on areas of impact, be it in work, relationship, self-esteem, competency and more. I have seen that ADHD is treatable, and takes time.
Whether its burden by daily life, wanting something more meaningful, ready for the next step, or simply depressed or experiencing anxiety, what ever it may be, personal growth is a solution-focused and strengths based approach that also includes shadow-work of the parts of ourselves we would rather not look at. We can not grow if we leave behind parts of ourselves asking to be transformed. A huge part of my work is laying the groundwork for deep inner transformation.
Men from all ages, from adolescence to youth to old age, have personal and interpersonal struggles. The times were in are showing a glaring truth of this matter. I have been working with male-identified populations on issues particularly relating to them, navigating difficulty and sensitive areas that block us from living fully and perhaps with community.
