About My Clients

You know somethings got to change, but your usual tactics aren't working anymore. You can fake "being fine", but worry that this is the best life gets. Do you feel overwhelmed by your life or something that happened? Is it like you've hit a wall & need help getting unstuck? The things you used to enjoy feel like work & you wonder if you can get that passion/energy back. I want you to know that things can get better! You can get past what has happened. I would love to help you get back on track.

My Background and Approach

I am an introspective and sensitive person and this drives me to make therapy as inviting and friendly as possible. I am also curious and this has led me to seek additional training throughout my career in order to offer clients the most current techniques and tools. When you come to a therapy session, I want you to feel like you can leave the world behind and can completely be yourself. When you walk out of a session I want you to feel like things are clearer or like your problems are becoming more manageable. I want you to know your own value and believe in yourself. You will begin to feel hope for the future that will slowly become excitement. Getting to know really know people, help others and use my creativity are all aspects of therapy that I love and bring to my work as a therapist. I know what it's like to feel sadness, loss, worry. I know what it's like to be overwhelmed. I want you to experience the relief of being supported as you find positive and lasting change :)

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Treat each other with kindness. For me, it all comes down to this simple idea. If we could all do a bit more of this, the world would be a better place. Simple things like stopping to think about how your words or actions can affect another person. Stopping to try to understand another person's experience is something I think we could all do more of. I am liberal, feminist, and work every day to be as inclusive as possible to all walks of life. That requires curiosity and patience at times. When I hear of children separated from their parents, asylum seekers kept in cages, women's rights being taken away, prejudice and ignorance influencing government, I start to wonder if things will ever get better. But then I remember that if we want things to get better, we have to do better and make our voices heard. Sometimes speaking up for those with no voice is needed. I want your voice to be heard and I want you to be treated with respect. Together we can make our world better.
